Whatever happened to this dope group consisting of Eminem’s former partners in rhyme?
FUPM (Google it if you want to know what it means) was a group that saw Shady labelmates Stat Quo and Bobby Creekwater come together to drop some heat, and it all started with this 2011 Kevin Hart sampled tune that saw the two MCs show off their lyricism and talent.
These guys go IN over the smooth beat, showing everyone why they earned their spots on one of hip-hop’s greatest labels.
Whether it’s Bobby Creek literally starting things off by laying down his authority (“All I…ever knew…was never let a ho affect revenue. I’m not really good at negotiations, I’m more so ‘this what you better do‘”) or Stat Quo lightening things up when he quips “Cam Newton when the cheque come…Wesley Snipes when the cheque gone…” this track is bonafide audio dope.
Here’s hoping these two can reconnect one day and continue where they left off. Until then, enjoy what they have given us hip-hop heads and listen to the track (or view the music video) below.
