Dreamville is a lot more than just J. Cole. Boasting a roster of multi-talented artists (including Bas, Cozz and EARTHGANG to name a few), they’re slowly etching a place in the hip-hop world as legitimate artists poised to leave a lasting impression for years to come.
In the summer of 2016, Bas embarked on his Too High To Riot tour (named after his second studio album) and he took his labelmates along for the ride. The journey was captured by Dreamville and released earlier this year as a ~30 minute documentary, introducing the world to the artists as they began their ascent into stardom. The documentary is a neat insight into the goings on behind setting up a tour and the rappers/producers themselves give insight to their creative process and what makes them cohesive as a functioning team.
It’s the end of 2017 now and I think it’s safe to say their respective stars are only going to rise higher in the new year. The roster hasn’t slowed down a bit and each have their own unique presence that they bring to the table. They’re on par with the likes of TDE, the Griselda team and Taylor Gang (among other hip-hop
labels teams) to make a serious dent in 2018.

There’s also a second documentary following the Dreamville artists on the European wing of their tour released this past summer. You can check that out below.
