The Griselda crew poses a question: What Would ChineGun Do?

"If this your first time coming, there's a lot of first timers when they come to these shows, you gon see gangsters, you gon see fuckin nerds, 9-5 dudes, a couple chicks sprinkled in there, everybody. You gon be like wtf? And then you gon hear everybody...singing it like it's shit they play on the radio." - Benny on what to expect at a Griselda concert

The Griselda takeover is complete.

With the release of their major label album WWCD (a joint release with Eminem’s Shady Records) it marks the culmination of years of hard work by Conway The Machine, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher and their producer Daringer.

In 2014, after prison bids, getting shot and losing their family member ChineGun (whom the album is titled after) to street violence, the Griselda label was launched as a way for the brothers (Westside & Conway) and their cousin (Benny) to find a way out the hood.  And it worked.

Their raw, gritty bars would propel them to success, as they quickly became one of hip-hop’s must-hear acts.  Their genuine lifestyle and come up made their music authentic; something that was lacking within rap and ultimately lead to them getting not only the Shady deal, but a publishing deal with Jay-Z’s ROC Nation as well.  Oh, and they also got legendary co-signs from hip-hop vets like the Wu-Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, DJ Premier, Royce Da 5’9″, The LOX and G-Unit (among others).

Now, as they set off to enter the next phase of their careers, they’ve decided to document their movement to date in the form of a mini-documentary.  Broken into four parts, each video focuses on a different member while sharing their story.  All four vids can be viewed below.

Episode 1: Connie’s Son (Westside Gunn)

Episode 2: 348 Sanders Road (Daringer)

Episode 3: May Street (Conway)

Episode 4: ChineGun’s Co-Defendant (Benny)
